It is abbreviated as CA. This course is offered in India only by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). It consists of 3 levels \u2013 CA Foundation (4 papers), CA Intermediate (8 papers) and CA Final (8 papers). ICAI provides 2 routes to become a CA \u2013 Foundation Route and Direct Entry Route. Foundation Route can be taken just after Class 12<sup>th<\/sup> while Direct Entry Route can be opted for only after a specific eligibility, which is explained below in detail. The main keys to excel in the <a href=\"https:\/\/shop.igpinstitute.org\/\">CA Course<\/a> are dedication, hard work and consistency. CAs are considered as the Partners in Nation Building by the Government of India.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"566\" src=\"https:\/\/shop.igpinstitute.org\/insight\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-08-15-at-03.14.59-1024x566.jpeg\" alt=\"how to become ca in india\" class=\"wp-image-3003\" srcset=\"https:\/\/shop.igpinstitute.org\/insight\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-08-15-at-03.14.59-1024x566.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/shop.igpinstitute.org\/insight\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-08-15-at-03.14.59-768x425.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/shop.igpinstitute.org\/insight\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-08-15-at-03.14.59-640x354.jpeg 640w, https:\/\/shop.igpinstitute.org\/insight\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-08-15-at-03.14.59-400x221.jpeg 400w, https:\/\/shop.igpinstitute.org\/insight\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-08-15-at-03.14.59-450x250.jpeg 450w, https:\/\/shop.igpinstitute.org\/insight\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-08-15-at-03.14.59-367x203.jpeg 367w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The steps to be followed to become a CA through the Foundation Route are:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Register for the Foundation Course before 1<sup>st<\/sup> day of January or 1<sup>st<\/sup> day of July for the examination to be held in the month of May or November respectively (provisional registration can be made after passing Class 10<sup>th<\/sup>).&nbsp;<\/li><li>Appear for the Foundation exam after appearing in Class 12<sup>th <\/sup>examination.<\/li><li>Qualify Class 12<sup>th<\/sup> and Foundation Course.<\/li><li>Register for CA intermediate.<\/li><li>Complete minimum 8 months study and appear and pass in either or both groups of CA Intermediate.<\/li><li>Complete the 4 Weeks ICITSS training any time after registering for CA Intermediate but before the commencement of the Practical Training.&nbsp;<\/li><li>After passing either or both the groups of CA Intermediate, register for 3 Years\u2019 Practical Training.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Register for the CA Final Course after qualifying both the groups of CA Intermediate.<\/li><li>Complete 4 Weeks Advanced ICITSS training during the last two years of Practical Training but before appearing for the Final Examination.<\/li><li>Appear in the Final examination during last 6 months of Practical Training or later.<\/li><li>Complete Practical Training.<\/li><li>Qualify both groups of CA Final.<\/li><li>Finally, become a member of the Institute.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The steps to be followed to become a CA through the Direct Route are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Through this route, one can directly enter into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.igpinstitute.org\/ca-intermediate.php\">CA Intermediate course<\/a> without entering the CA Foundation course.<\/li><li>For this route, a student must be a commerce graduate or post-graduate with minimum 55% marks or any other graduate or post-graduate with minimum 60% marks. He\/she is also entitled to enter via Direct Entry route if he\/she has passed CS Executive or CMA Intermediate.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eligible Graduates and Post Graduates \u2013&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>First step is to register for the CA Intermediate course (provisional registration can be made in the final year of graduation).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Complete the 4 Weeks ICITSS training before the commencement of the Practical Training.<\/li><li>Register for 3 Years\u2019 Practical Training.<\/li><li>After 9 months of Practical Training, appear in the Intermediate examination and qualify it.<\/li><li>Register for the Final Course once both groups of CA Intermediate are cleared.<\/li><li>&nbsp;Complete 4 Weeks Advanced ICITSS training during the last two years of Practical Training but before appearing for the Final Examination.<\/li><li>Appear in the Final examination during last 6 months of Practical Training or later.<\/li><li>Complete Practical Training.<\/li><li>Qualify both groups of CA Final.<\/li><li>Finally, become a member of the Institute.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Students who have passed CS Executive or CMA Intermediate \u2013&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>First step is to register for the CA Intermediate course.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Complete 8 months of study and appear and pass either or both groups of CA Intermediate.<\/li><li>Complete 4 Weeks ICITSS any time after registering for Intermediate Course but before commencement of the Practical Training.<\/li><li>After passing either or both the groups of CA Intermediate, register for 3 Years\u2019 Practical Training.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Register for the CA Final Course after qualifying both the groups of CA Intermediate.<\/li><li>Complete 4 Weeks Advanced ICITSS training during the last two years of Practical Training but before appearing for the Final Examination.<\/li><li>Appear in the Final examination during last 6 months of Practical Training or later.<\/li><li>Complete Practical Training.<\/li><li>Qualify both groups of <a href=\"https:\/\/shop.igpinstitute.org\/product\/CA-Final-New-Course-SFM\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/shop.igpinstitute.org\/product\/CA-Final-New-Course-SFM\">CA Final<\/a>.<\/li><li>Finally, become a member of the Institute.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The above steps will help you become a CA in India. After becoming a CA, you can either open your own private practice or you can get employed in a firm, corporate or a PSU. The average salary of a CA initially is Rs. 8 \u2013 10 Lakhs. The maximum salary initially is Rs. 30 Lakhs. If the offer is received from an international organization, it can go to as high as Rs. 75 Lakhs. CAs are very talented and have experience of various sectors. They can thus start their own business startup too. In such a case, there is no limit on earning. However, every coin has two sides and so, there can be huge losses too. CA examination is considered as one of the toughest examinations in India but do remember &#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u201cOf course it\u2019s hard. It\u2019s supposed to be hard.
