{"id":3071,"date":"2023-10-27T23:52:36","date_gmt":"2023-10-27T18:22:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shop.igpinstitute.org\/insight\/?p=3071"},"modified":"2025-08-19T15:20:28","modified_gmt":"2025-08-19T09:50:28","slug":"ca-intermediate-cma-cost-and-management-accounting-old-vs-new","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shop.igpinstitute.org\/insight\/ca-intermediate-cma-cost-and-management-accounting-old-vs-new\/","title":{"rendered":"CA Intermediate CMA (Cost and Management Accounting) Old Vs New"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>With the implementation of the new scheme for education and training by ICAI, effective from 1 July 2023, there have been certain changes in the CA syllabus and today we are going to brief you about what has been added and deleted simultaneously in Cost and Management Accounting (CMA),&nbsp;CA Intermediate level and applicable for CA Inter January, May, and September 2025 examinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Format of question paper \u2013 Under the old scheme, CMA was a descriptive practical based subject comprising of 100 marks but according to the new scheme, case based MCQs have been added comprising of 30 marks with no negative marking whereas descriptive practical questions will come for 70 marks now.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Changes in the module-<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><thead><tr><th><strong>ADDITION<\/strong><\/th><th><strong>DELETION<\/strong><\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>1)\u201c Direct expenses\u201d concept&nbsp; Question 5 and 6 &amp; definition of \u201cby product\u201d has been improved&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
