Import Duties and Charges<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For materials bought from foreign sources, add:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Import duty or custom duty<\/strong>, calculated based on the net invoice price, converted into Rupees.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Packing charges<\/strong> and costs associated with raw material containers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Loading and unloading charges<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Transit Insurance Premium<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Transportation fees<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Commission or brokerage<\/strong> payable on material purchase.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_Adjustments_for_Returnable_Value\"><\/span><strong>3. Adjustments for Returnable Value<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If there\u2019s any returnable value from empty packaging (like empty drums or boxes), deduct that from the total cost. For instance, if empty containers have a market value, reduce the material cost accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Road Tax and Toll Tax will be added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"4_Exclusions\"><\/span><strong>4. Exclusions<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Cash discounts<\/strong> from suppliers are not reduced from the inventory cost. Cash discounts are treated as interest income, not a reduction in purchase cost.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any <strong>damage penalties<\/strong> or fines are also not included in the purchase cost.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"5_Normal_Loss_Handling\"><\/span><strong>5. Normal Loss Handling<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When there\u2019s <strong>normal loss<\/strong> (like evaporation, shrinkage, or breakage during transit), it is reflected by inflating the cost of the remaining inventory. For example: If 1000 liters of a material were purchased and 100 liters evaporate during transit, we distribute the cost over the remaining 900 liters.
