Let’s discuss these one by one,

  1. HARDWORK

Only you can do it for yourself, no one else can and no one else will. Just because you have always been a BRIGHT CHILD doesn’t mean you cannot fail.

Sometimes it seems like everyone else is moving ahead, some are becoming CA, Doctor, Lawyer, MBAs, etc. On the one hand, we see younger people reaching their goals before us. On the other, we see aspirants quitting in between and are failing to reach their goals of cracking the CA Finals even after clearing the Intermediate Level. All these things create a dilemma in our heads and produce a lot of questions. Here, we all have to accept that CA Course is indeed one of the most difficult courses and it becomes a lot more challenging with the never-ending amendments. But this is not so for those aspirants who have sheer determination, perseverance, and perfectly laid-out strategy.

This journey has a lot of ups and downs but if you believe in yourself you will be able to achieve this dignified milestone. What we really need to do is smart work and try to give our best in achieving this milestone and follow effective strategies along with hard work. As mentioned above, the smart work weighs more than hard work.

The next step that we need to follow is

  1. EFFECTIVE STRATEGY

“Success is never ending and failure is never final

‘Simple but not easy’ is what we can say for this milestone- CA

One really needs the right guidance and follow the right strategies for cracking the exams. Let’s discuss the key areas or strategies one should follow while preparing for CA finals so here go the bullet points:

  1. DETERMINATIONThe reason that we are starting with this point is simply that you can become a Chartered Accountant only if you are determined to be one. Trust us, if your father or mother or someone else wants you to become a CA then we’re really sorry as this is not meant for you. This course is only for those who have determination, passion and above all, patience. You will have to remind yourself day in and out of what you’re destined to become.
  2. REGULAR STUDIES WITH BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF CONCEPTS &TOPICS

It is next to impossible if you try to mug up the entire syllabus in the last few months so do not fall into the trap of such coaching centres who build false hopes on you. Be aware and understand that you will have to study every single day for planned hours. It is pertinent, here, to have crystal clarity of all concepts and for this, you will have to make sure that you’re under the right guidance. Your mentor will play a significant role in your success, so choose one wisely.

  1. COACHING CLASSES– I always preferred classes over self-studies for practical subjects because I always felt that the expert teacher simplifies the concept and make it easy to understand. Classes from expert faculty help you to cover about 60% of your revision in the class itself.

I always preferred classes over self-studies for practical subjects because I always felt that the expert teacher simplifies the concept and make it easy to understand. Classes from expert faculty help you to cover about 60% of your revision in the class itself. However, you must keep in mind that tuitions of all eight subjects may not help you. I believe one must take coaching for Practical Papers only like Financial Reporting, SFM, Costing etc. and not for Theoretical Papers like ISCA, Law, Auditing, etc. as you can learn them on your own. I suggest you take classes of financial reporting, SFM, and costing as soon as you enter in CA finals. Right coaching from expert faculty can help you in getting exemption in that particular subject which can create a win-win situation for you. If you take two practical subjects together, most of the classes will complete within 6 months.

For instance, if you have 3 years before your CA finals examination and start taking classes of Accounts and SFM as soon as you enter CA finals then by the time you complete a year in Finals, you would already have completed the classes of two major papers and then in the second year you can take classes of the third practical subject along with theory subject(s).

Remember, if you are willing to take classes of DT and IDT, then you should do it in your last six months only, reason simply being that you’ll get the knowledge of the latest provisions in your classes at that time.

  1. ARTICLESHIP- Please take your Articleship very seriously. It is indeed more important than you think. It is important for your CA final exams and extremely important once you become a Chartered Accountant. Clearing finals with dummy training is pure wastage of the degree. Spend limited but quality time in office. Articleship is the learning period of CA student’s career. The experience which they get during this period is invaluable. Articles can get good tax assignments or audit assignments and as the time pass, they can be involved in more strategic decisions. However, students often opt to register for Articleship under a good firm only where they get good practical exposure.
  2. PREPARATION TIME- I believe one needs at least 5 months of leave before appearing in CA final exams. And remember our study time must be of twelve(12) to thirteen (13) hours per day. Combining one theory paper with practical paper in a day will be the best to gain the maximum from a limited time frame. Some tips for preparing in 5 months are as follows.
  1. Finish your first read of the complete group I in the first month of preparation.
  2. Finish your first read of group II in the second month of preparation.
  3. Do the first revision of all subjects in the next 40 days, almost.
  4. Do the second revision of all subjects in the next 25 days.
  5. And then make third and final revision accordingly.
  6. Make sure that you have revised your syllabus at least thrice.

Again, if you have taken coaching from the right place then your mentor will help you in completing your first revision in the classes itself.

  1. NOTES Remember, CA Final is a RACE against time management. The one who manages time effectively & efficiently probably has a much higher possibility of clearing it in the first attempt itself. How, you make your notes, is going to decide how much time you are planning to allot to a particular paper. And yes, here we are talking about the notes which have been prepared during your coaching classes as well as notes prepared during your self-studies.
  2. In coaching classes, they sometimes provide you with a thumb rule or shortcut or logic behind the complex topic. Just jot it down at the top or bottom of the topic from which it related to. This will help you a lot at the time of your final revision and will be a great time saver.

CONCLUSION

IF YOU CHOOSE THE RIGHT PATH AND FOLLOW BEST STRATEGIES THEN SOONER YOU’LL BECOME A SUCCESSFUL CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT WITH A REALLY VERY BRIGHT FUTURE.

  • CA FINAL STRATEGIES FOR LAST ONE MONTH
