CA Ashish Kalra’s Study Guidance for Sachin’s Jan 2025 Attempt

CA Ashish Kalra: Yes, who’s speaking?
Sachin: Hello sir, it’s Sachin. I have my January CA Inter exam coming up. I’m planning to give CA Inter group 2 in January Attempt.

CA Ashish Kalra: Sachin! I remember, you had asked for advice about managing your study time CA Inter Jan exams.

Alright Sachin, let’s break it down. You’ve already covered the three subjects, right? But it seems you’re stuck somewhere. Let’s figure out which area you’re feeling lost in.
Conceptual clarity is key. I remember you used to be super active in class, always chatting and engaging, but you didn’t dedicate enough time to understanding the concepts deeply.

CA Ashish Kalra: Alright, here’s my suggestion for you. Do you still have access to your lectures of CA Intermediate, or has your access expired?

Sachin: The access has expired, sir.

CA Ashish Kalra: No worries, Sachin. Send a message to the team and request an extension. There will be a small charge for it, but it’s totally worth it. You need those recorded sessions, especially if you didn’t attend live sessions.

CA Ashish Kalra: Now, once you have access again, here’s what I suggest: at least one class per day per subject. Start fresh – pick Audit and FM together. Once Audit is done, move on to SM.

Sachin: Okay, sir.

CA Ashish Kalra: You need to focus on the daily schedule. Try to complete CA Inter FM in 60 days, and keep revising Audit alongside. You’ll need to juggle both and complete the revisions systematically.
Aim for at least three lectures a day – one for Costing, one for FM, and one for Audit. If you feel confident, push for four lectures a day.

Sachin: I’ll start with three and try to move to four.

CA Ashish Kalra: Great! For CMA, take one lecture. For FM, another. Remember to finish your classwork and do the homework. That’s non-negotiable.

Sachin: Understood, sir.

CA Ashish Kalra: For Audit, cover one lecture a day. SM, you can go slower if needed – maybe half a lecture if time is tight. But keep moving forward.

Sachin: Okay, so that’s the plan for the lectures.

CA Ashish Kalra: Yes, and remember, it’s not just about watching the lectures. Practice is key. You must complete all the exercises and do them on time. Two hours minimum each day, and give yourself 30 days for FM and SM. Once those are done, you have a full month to focus on revision.

Sachin: Sounds good, sir. How many revisions do you recommend?

CA Ashish Kalra: For sure, you’ll need at least three revisions before the exam. That’s the minimum to feel confident. Finish the syllabus, revise, and then test yourself. You’ve studied this before, so it should be manageable. But don’t slack off – every subject needs focus.

Sachin: Alright, I’ll plan my revisions accordingly.

CA Ashish Kalra: Good. And listen, if your lectures don’t load on the app, message the technical team. They’ll get it sorted out for you. Stay connected with the platform – all your tests, MCQs, and videos are there.

Sachin: Got it. I’ll reach out to the team.

CA Ashish Kalra: Excellent! Now Sachin, stick to this plan. Work hard on all three subjects, do your homework, and keep practicing. I’ll check in with you in 45 days to see your progress. You’ve got this!

Sachin: Thanks so much, sir. I’ll follow the plan!

CA Ashish Kalra: Alright, all the best, Sachin!
