CA Foundation is the entry level exam for Chartered Accountancy Course. It can be given after passing Class 12^th. Paper 1: Principles and Practice of Accounting – This paper contains many chapters which you have studied in your Class 11^th and 12^th Accountancy. But, a few chapters are there which are totally new for you like Consignment, Valuation of Inventories, Average Due Date, etc.
Paper 2: Business Laws and Business Correspondence and Reporting – In this paper, the weightage of Business Laws is 60 Marks and that of Business Correspondence and Reporting is 40 Marks. Though BCR contains English Grammar, Writing and Reading Section, which you have studied in your school, it contains some new concepts also like Communication Types, etc. Talking about Business Laws, it is a completely new experience for you. It is the first time you study law in your life.
Paper 3: Business Mathematics and Logical Reasoning & Statistics – It contains Mathematics from Class 6^th to Class 12^th. It is very easy for those who have opted for Commerce with Mathematics. It also includes Statistics which you study in Class 11^th Economics.
Paper 4: Business Economics and Business and Commercial Knowledge – In this paper, Business Economics is for 60 Marks (which contains Microeconomics) and BCK is for 40 Marks (which contains complete knowledge of business organisation, i.e. there types, environment, terminologies, etc.).
